  • Just want to play Skip Bo, but can’t after update.

I was introduced to the card game a few months ago, so I downloaded the app. I was enjoying playing Skip Bo offline, even if it wasn’t perfect as the cards didn’t seem entirely random like they are in the card game, but it was a fun “time killer” and I’d enjoy a random game a few times a day. But the recent update seems to have removed that option, making you jump through various hoops just to play a game of Skip Bo. The new stuff just isn’t fun, and I have no desire to play other games within the app, only classic Skip Bo. I’d even be willing to pay for a no ads version of classic Skip Bo, but it doesn’t seem to be available at this time.

All I wanted was to play an innocent game of Skip-Bo… I can’t even FIND Skip-Bo for all the other stuff… I used to love playing Skip-Bo when we were young, but this is ridiculous. Where is the innocent card game I just wanted to relax with???
  • Game is too pushy and authoritative

I’ve been playing Skip-Bo for close to 30 years. You can’t relax and play this game. It’s very pushy in style because if you linger the cards start jiggling and a finger points to a card for you to play. I like to make my own decisions. Part of that is noticing what discards the other player has laid down. I then decide my best play options. I feel like I’m a 8-year-old again with somebody standing over my shoulder advising me how to play. Sorry, but I’m 68 and don’t need that kind of help. If you want to offer a beginners option that’s one thing. However, for those of us that are very familiar with this game it is a huge turn off. If this game is changed in the future where an experienced player can do their own thing I’ll come back to it. As it stands right now, I’m deleting it.
  • New Adventure Requirements are Horrible

I have been playing this game for a few years now especially at bed time to relax and wind down. However the latest version makes me play an adventure games three times in order to be able to play the actual game. When I complete the three required levels then I can exit and go back and play the Skip-Bo game, but only three games and it makes me quit and go back to the adventure. I really dislike this and last night found a game almost the same called “Skip Card” that lets me just play the game like I used to be able to do on Skip Bo, Please fix this so I can continue playing offline just the Skipbo game.
  • Disappointed with recent update

I used to keep this app on my home screen because I played it all the time. I even bought the ad-free version, but with one of the recent updates you can no longer play offline until you’ve reached a certain level of a completely different game, which you have to pay for coins to win. I’m really frustrated because it feels like an attempt to get people to buy the coins just to play the game. I’d rather watch an occasional ad if it meant I could just play regular skip bo again. I hope the developers choose to get rid of this update because I am (and it appears a lot of others are)really disappointed and will probably delete the app since I never play it anymore
  • Not a simple Skip-Bo app

My issue with this app is, just like what seems to be normalized for mobile games these days, many apps of this sort are inflated with non-base game mechanics. Though this app does have the generic Skip-Bo game, your practically paywalled to play with real players, since gathering enough gold in-game literally gives you enough for a single match or two and that’s it. And with such short matches, with only 5 or 10 card goals, you get stuck with luck-of-the-draw chances, hardly long enough to feel like you’re playing skillfully. And also, the free version playing against is AI is short and not very challenging. Further, this app has some sort of solitaire type of alternative gameplay that also heavily relies on luck-of-the-draw. Overall, because we get stuck with luck-of-the-draw on such short games, and gold gain is so low, this app just isn’t very fun. Once you get through tutorial stuff, you eventually get to the point where you can open it up, play for 5 or 10 minutes, and then you’re done. Kind of frustrating.
  • Fun to play

The app is fun, however, they recently changed it to where you have to beat a certain amount of levels in order to play offline. You can only play like 2-3 offline rounds before you’re required to beat several levels. This could take days if you’re on hard levels or not spending money on coins. It’s a rip off. I used to spend a lot of time playing because I’d use all my coins then play offline, now I can’t.
